About Me

I am an experienced IT professional with over 15 years of experience in architecting, developing and leading high-profile enterprise-wide projects. I have significant expertise in developing large-scale, enterprise-wide applications in a variety of domains, and am an expert in grid and high performance computing. Furthermore, I have several publications in this complex and technical field. I also have an extensive track record of application performance monitoring, and creating tools and techniques to improve performance and utilization.

Most recently, as the Global head of Grid and HPC Engineering for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, I managed a team of senior engineers in charge of the Grid, private Cloud and virtualized infrastructure of over 100,000-cores. In addition to being the SME for the bank, I managed projects and led technical project teams and coordinated project activities with external teams.

Before BofA, I was the founder and CTO of SoftModule, a Grid middleware software company, now part of Univa UD. At SoftModule, a company focused on High Performance, Grid and Cloud Computing, I was responsible for the architecture and design, development and release of the SoftModule xFactor product. In addition to the technical aspects of the job, I was responsible for fund-raising, client sourcing, financial analysis, and product placement and pricing.

In addition, I have held numerous architect positions while at Merrill Lynch, TIBCO, Tervela, DataSynapse, Platform Computing and the New York Stock Exchange.

My foundation is as a developer, in multiple languages, on many platforms. I am comfortable with structured code (C++/Java) and OO programming techniques. Currently, I am seeking a new association with an organization where I can apply my knowledge and expertise in the High Performance and Grid Computing arena. My experience in developing large-scale, highly reliable, highly scalable, distributed, clustered and secure enterprise-wide infrastructure in variety of domains will allow me to become an integral part of your team.

I hold an MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer in 2004 and an MS in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from John Hopkins University in 2010. I am currently working on obtaining a PhD in Applied Mathematics from SUNY at Stony Brook.
